What are your hours of operation?

We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. A service manager is always available to take your call after hours in case of an emergency. Please call (718) 937 – 3171 day or night.

What geographic areas do you service?

Our primary service coverage is within 30 miles of the New York City Metropolitan area; however, we travel up to 50 miles for contracted and Preferred Customers. Our service area covers the five boroughs of New York, Nassau County, Suffolk County, F airfield County, and Middle & Northern New Jersey.

What are your rates?

Our rates vary depending on the services customers require. Our Street Rate for Non-Contract Customers is $125.00 per hour and less than that for established and contracted customers. We hold one of the lowest rates because we are in it for the long haul and value long-term relationships with our customers. This is why we have one of the highest retention rates with customers in the Food Service Repair industry.

How quickly can I expect a technician at my establishment?

Tek Express works with our customers to prioritize calls. For high priority equipment our contract customers enjoy a 2-4 hour response time. In most cases, a technician is on site within 8 business hours.

Do you offer discounts or package rates for long-term service?

Yes. Our Service Contract customers enjoy discounted labor rates and have customized packages that suit their budgets.

What are the mileage charges for travel time?

Our standard travel rate is $115.00 per hour for customers without a service contract.

What forms of payment do you take? How do you manage payment?

We accept cash, checks and most major credit cards. Contract and long standing customers enjoy more liberal payment terms.

Which companies do you manage warranties for?

We are the Factory Authorized Service Agent for Manitowoc, Cleveland, Garland, Delfield, Frymaster, Lincoln, Baker’s Pride, Rational, Blodgett, Hoshizaki, Trane, Carrier and many more. Approximately 36 different manufacturers rely on Tek Express to handle their warranty claims.

What you can do to reduce service and operational costs?

One of the best ways to reduce service and operational costs is by incorporating a Preventive Maintenance (PM) program. A PM program will increase the lifespan of your commercial equipment; and the investment in a PM program will be nominal compared to the cost of replacing or repairing damaged equipment that was not well maintained.

What else do you can offer to reduce service and operational costs?

We are the first and ONLY Company that offers UV technology for ice machines and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) equipment. HVAC, refrigerators, and ice machines with UV technology will dramatically reduce the cost of service and prolong the lifespan of the equipment.
