Tek Express is a trusted service provider for commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration equipment, and HVAC. Our accounts are large national, multi-location accounts with a strong customer service needs.

Any other necessities needed to perform efficiently at their jobs are also provided. Little direct supervision needed for our technicians as long as you are making things happen in the field.

Position 1:

Commercial Food Equipment Service Technician

Main Responsibilities:

–Perform troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance on commercial cooking foodservice equipment. Equipment includes combi ovens, ranges, kettles, dish machines, steam tables, slicers, etc..

–Maintain strong customers relations and thorough communication with customers at all times.

–Attend appropriate technical and manufacturer training.

–Obtain additional licenses and certifications as appropriate.

–Work with a team mentality and get it done attitude.

–Ability to work on ladders, roofs, and in rare cases, high, precarious places.

–Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, reach, and occasionally lift and carry up to 70 pounds.

Basic Qualifications:

–3+ years service industry experience in commercial cooking equipment repair required.

–Knowledge of gas, steam, electric needed.

–Relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications (i.e. CFESA, manufacturer training certifications).

–Self-motivated with the proven ability to prioritize work with minimal direct supervision.

–Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.

–Willingness and available for emergency on-call rotation that included nights and weekends.

 

Position 2:

Experienced HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technician

Main Responsibilities:

–Install, maintain and repair refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and systems including chillers, boilers, central cooling equipment, fan systems, refrigerators, freezers, ice makers, etc.

–Read and interpret thermometers and gauges and make adjustments to maintain desired temperatures.

–Inspect equipment and units, check for leaks and correct electrical connections and make necessary repairs.

–Perform brazing, soldering and similar procedures as required.

–Detect faulty operation of equipment and perform necessary adjustments and repairs.

–Install and connect independently operated coolers and commercial refrigerators following manufacturer’s specification. Perform maintenance and calibration of temperature controls.

–Ability to work on ladders, roofs, and in rare cases, high, precarious places.

–Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, reach, and occasionally lift and carry up to 70 pounds.

Basic Qualifications:

–A minimum of three (3) years of technical experience with commercial refrigeration/HVAC equipment repair.

–Relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications (i.e. EPA, CFESA).

–Fire watch and Burn permits a plus but not required.

–Self-motivated with the proven ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal direct supervision.

–High School diploma or equivalent.

–Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.

–Willingness and ability to be involved with the emergency on-call rotation that includes nights and weekends.
